No access to Doon Campus

Conestoga’s Kitchener -  Doon campus is temporarily closed to all vehicle traffic, effective immediately and until further notice.

All on-campus classes and activities are temporarily suspended.

Impacted students will receive communication directly from their faculty about any changes to course delivery.

Employees are asked to coordinate with their managers whether their work can be performed remotely, or from another campus location. Shifts which are to commence later in the day may be able to proceed without impact if re-opening information has been shared.

The college suspects the Doon campus will be targeted this morning for large-scale picketing activity as part of a coordinated campaign by OPSEU. The decision to close was made with an abundance of caution for the safety of our college community as we help mitigate anticipated traffic disruptions in and around campus.

Students and employees already on campus are free to stay. If you wish to leave and require assistance, please contact Security Services at 519-748-5220 ext. 3357 or securityservices@conestogac.on.ca.

Students and employees accessing the campus on foot are also permitted to enter.

In light of the evolving situation, we are unable to confirm when on-campus classes and activities will resume. However, we remain hopeful that the Doon campus may reopen later today. As information becomes available, it will be shared on the college’s website and social media channels on Facebook, X and Instagram
