Conestoga ranked among Canada's top culinary schools

Conestoga was named among Canada’s best culinary schools in 2024 by University Magazine, ranking number 4 out of 22 colleges and universities that made the list.

Conestoga was named among Canada’s best culinary schools in 2024 by University Magazine.

The magazine emphasized the culinary school’s excellent facilities and experienced instructors that ready students for a career in the competitive field. 

Conestoga College “offers top-notch culinary education in Canada. With hands-on training, state-of-the-art facilities, and experienced instructors, students receive a comprehensive culinary education. Conestoga prepares aspiring chefs with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the competitive culinary industry.”

Dean of the culinary school said this national recognition for delivering high-calibre education to culinary students is also an acknowledgment of the years of dedication to building the program’s reputation. 

“We started on this journey 10 years ago to be one of the top culinary and hospitality schools in Canada. This has been achieved by an amazing team of dedicated faculty, support staff and administrators,” said Keith Müller, dean of the School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts and Institute for Food Processing Technology.

“To be recognized by University Magazine is a huge honour for us.”

The magazine shares school rankings for various programs to help students make informed decisions when picking a post-secondary institution. University Magazine is “created by a student for students to provide tips on student life, financial, career, majors, ranking and important news that will impact students.”

The magazine also named Conestoga among Canada’s best engineering technology schools in 2024, ranking number 6 out of 10 institutions included.

Conestoga’s School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts is a leader in culinary and hospitality programming that prepares students for successful careers in Canada’s dynamic tourism industry. Students learn from faculty members with extensive industry experience as they develop practical knowledge and theoretical skills.
