Milton Transit has announced a new route as well as a cost-effective transit pass for Conestoga students traveling in Milton.
The Conestoga College Term Pass is available in four-month segments throughout the year — winter, summer and fall — and provides students with a 25 per cent discount when compared to the cost of a four-month adult pass.
The winter term pass provides riders with unlimited travel on Milton Transit from January 2 through April 30, 2024 and costs $273.
The pass is available through the Token Transit app and is currently available for purchase. Students must have a valid Conestoga email address to receive the pass.
In January, the college’s Milton - Parkhill location at 8160 Parkhill Drive, just north of Highway 401, will open to provide local access to programming in areas that include Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Mobile Solutions, Business Analytics, Quality Assurance, and Applied Manufacturing Management.
The Conestoga Centre of Excellence in Healthcare Education, located at 433 Steeles Avenue East, will open in spring 2024 to offer hands-on nursing and personal support worker training.
Starting January 2, Milton Transit will add a fixed-route bus service to the 401 Industrial Business Park to service these locations.
Route 1 High Point will maintain connections with other routes and services at the Milton GO Station and RR25/HWY 401 Park-and-Ride area. The route will also provide connection points at Conestoga’s Park Hill and Steeles Avenue locations.
Route 1 will operate on a fixed schedule during weekdays, offering riders frequent service along Ontario Street North, Steeles Avenue East, Regional Road 25 and Park Hill Drive, running every 20 minutes during the morning and afternoon peak periods, and every 40 minutes in the mid-day.
OnDemand service will be available on weeknights from 7:30 p.m. to 10:11 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7:10 a.m. to 7:40 p.m.
