The Conestoga community gathered on October 23 to recognize 400 employees who achieved milestone anniversaries at the college between 2019 and 2022.
“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your incredible contributions. Your collective years of service have played a pivotal role in shaping some of the most inspiring success stories within our student body,” said Zoe Talbot, a third-year Mechanical Systems Engineering student who addressed the honourees.
“Your dedication has not only transformed the lives of individual students, but has also left an indelible mark on the entire college community. Your enduring commitment has made a difference in the lives of countless students like myself, and for that, we are truly grateful. Your lasting impact will serve as a continual source of inspiration and guidance as we move forward in our journeys.”
Employees recognized at the celebration have served between 10 and 40 years at Conestoga. President Tibbits was congratulated on his thirty-fifth anniversary. He stepped into his role in 1987 and has guided the growth and transformation of Conestoga ever since.
“Your commitment to this institution has resulted in the college’s growth,” said President Tibbits. “We are no longer the small community college we once were and this could not have happened without your dedication."
