Alyssa Neudoerffer will also be recognized as a member of the team of students from the Mechanical Systems Engineering program that will receive the Conestoga College Mastercraft Award, which recognizes excellence in the area of program-related technical skills. The group’s project featured the feasibility, design, manufacturing and business plan for a 50-tonne marine hoist. The Governor General’s Medal is awarded to the graduating student who achieves the highest composite academic grade average for all courses in a diploma program. This year’s recipient is Jennifer Brown of Waterloo, who completed Conestoga’s Office Administration - Executive program in spring 2013, graduating with an average of 97.8 per cent.
