Sowa Tools Recognizes Apprenticeship Student Excellence

Kitchener-based Sowa Tool and Machine Co. Ltd. believes in the importance and value of education in the skilled trades, especially apprenticeship education. Accordingly, the company has recognized excellence in apprenticeship as demonstrated by six students who recently completed their in-college apprenticeship studies at Conestoga College.

Four students participated in apprenticeship courses at Conestoga’s Doon campus in Kitchener, the other two at the campus in Guelph. For their efforts, they share a total of $2,500 in tool-purchase vouchers, presented on behalf of Sowa Tool and Machine by Sales Manager Barry Schwartz.

Each student was recognized as being the highest achiever in his graduating class, based on both academic and practical learning.
