Conestoga celebrates class of 2025 at winter convocation

New graduates will be honoured at Conestoga’s winter convocation ceremonies from March 2-3.

The event, held at Bingemans Conference Centre in Kitchener, is a culmination of hard work, passion and commitment in celebration of academic achievements. The college’s newest graduates are part of a dynamic network of more than 225,000 alumni from across the region and around the world, using their knowledge and skills to launch successful careers and impact their industries and communities.

“Conestoga’s graduates are exceptionally well prepared to meet the growing demand of skilled, job-ready talent Ontario’s labour market needs,” said Conestoga Interim President Norma McDonald Ewing. “Through hands-on, industry-aligned learning, they’ve gained the skills, adaptability and professionalism employers across the province are looking for. Our graduates are ready to strengthen communities, support economic growth and make an immediate impact. I am incredibly proud of all they will contribute.”

Ontario’s economic and workforce growth depends on public colleges, which supply more than half of the workers in sectors facing the province's most significant labour shortages. These shortages have a direct impact on local communities and on Ontario’s broader economic strength. Current projections indicate that Ontario will need nearly one million additional college graduates by 2035 to meet known labour-market demand in skilled trades, health care, energy, mining and advanced manufacturing. Colleges, including Conestoga, remain central to ensuring the province has the skilled talent required to support future prosperity.

All ceremonies will be live-streamed on CCDTV, the college’s digital TV channel, and recordings will be made available through the college’s website.
