The Conestoga community will celebrate our newest graduates during winter convocation ceremonies February 24 to 28.

Our newest graduates are part of a dynamic network of more than 225,000 alumni who are making positive changes in their communities and around the world.

“Conestoga is committed to student success. Our graduates have the skills to meet today’s labour market needs and the adaptability to address tomorrow’s challenges. We are proud to honour our newest graduates during convocation and know they will contribute to the prosperity of their communities,” said Conestoga President John Tibbits.

According to the last provincial key performance indicators, more than 92 per cent of employers were “very satisfied” with Conestoga graduates. The impact of our graduates has also been recognized more broadly with 11 members of our alumni community being honoured with Premier’s awards over the last decade alone. These awards recognize the tremendous contribution Ontario college graduates make to the province's success and beyond.

In addition to individual achievement, Conestoga graduates also contribute more than $6.2 billion annually to the province’s economy and nearly 7,800 entrepreneurs in Ontario are part of our alumni community.

“Thank you to our employees, donors, community and employer partners, stakeholders and Program Advisory Committee members for supporting the continued success of our students and graduates,” added President Tibbits. “They are our leaders and changemakers of tomorrow.”

Conestoga credits the quality of its programming for outstanding graduate success. Named Best College in Ontario for 2024 and 2025 by CourseCompare, Conestoga delivers in-demand skills training across more than 300 certificate, diploma and degree programs. One of Canada’s top research colleges and home to one of the country’s largest skilled trades training campuses, Conestoga is a leader in the delivery of skilled trades training, health care, hospitality and culinary arts, engineering, technology, applied computer science, business, and media and creative industries programming.

As part of the college’s convocation ceremonies, the Conestoga community will also recognize outstanding contributions and leadership in the teaching-learning process. The Aubrey Hagar Distinguished Teaching Award will be presented to faculty member Karl Weiss, a professor and simulation educator in the School of Health & Life Sciences.

All ceremonies will be live-streamed on CCDTV, the college’s digital TV channel, and recordings will be made available through the college’s website.
