A transit strike is set to begin at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, November 7 in Guelph if contract negotiations are not reached between Amalgamated Transit Union local 1189 and the City of Guelph.
In the event of a strike, all Guelph Transit services will be suspended, including buses, on-demand transit and mobility services. GO bus service will not be affected.
Classes and activities at Conestoga’s Guelph campus will continue as scheduled in the event of a transit strike: students and employees who rely on transit in Guelph will need to make alternative travel plans.
