Launching in fall 2025, the Bachelor of Digital Technology Solutions degree program is designed to meet the need for leaders in a dynamic IT industry.

Beginning in fall 2025, the Bachelor of Digital Technology Solutions program will be offered through the School of Applied Computer Science & Information Technology at the college’s Waterloo campus, strategically located within one of the fastest-growing tech sectors in North America.

The program is designed to meet the need for graduates who can help design, develop, implement, and monitor IT solutions that effectively and continuously meet business requirements.

Students will be able to focus their major on either software development or systems infrastructure, with both streams working together on projects throughout the program - a unique aspect that is based on real-life work environments.

“The Bachelor of Digital Technology Solutions is a forward-thinking program focusing on solutions architecture through core majors in infrastructure and development,” said Pejman Salehi, executive dean, School of Applied Computer Science & Information Technology.

“It fosters collaboration between students across these disciplines, preparing them for the teamwork and cross-functional dynamics essential in modern software development.”

The ability to specialize will also produce graduates with a strengthened and focused skillset, providing higher value to employers and the potential to start careers beyond entry-level positions.

Curriculum will be delivered using a project-based learning environment, complemented with bring-your-own-device (BYOD) classroom technology. Twelve months of paid co-op opportunities will be strategically intertwined with academic terms to enhance job readiness.

Applications for the program will open October 2024.
