The following message was shared with all Conestoga students on behalf of Dr. Barbara Kelly, Vice President Academic, Student Affairs, Human Resources and Research, on April 8.
COVID-19 continues to circulate at high levels in our community and across Ontario. As the end of term approaches, you may have questions regarding final exams and what to do in the event that you have recently been exposed to COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms, or if you or someone in your household has tested positive on a COVID-19 test.
Please complete the Ontario Ministry of Health COVID-19 Self-Assessment before attending campus - https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment. If you or a household member have symptoms or have tested positive, the Self-Assessment will provide direction on self-isolation.
If you are ill or required to self-isolate on your exam day, please do not come to campus. Inform your professor and your School immediately (see contacts below). Although absences will be monitored, medical notes or documentation will not be required.
Please connect with your professor regarding alternate examination or assignment arrangements if you are unable to attend scheduled exams as the result of illness or self-isolation requirements.
If you have additional questions, contact your School or visit the COVID-19 Information Hub on the Conestoga website.
Stay safe and well,
Dr. Barbara Kelly
Vice President, Academic/Student Affairs, Human Resources and Research
