The following message was distributed beginning December 13 to winter 2022 new and returning students on behalf of the Office of the Registrar.
To protect the safety and well-being our college community, all students will be required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or have received an exemption pursuant to the COVID-19 Community Safety Policy to access college campuses, facilities or properties.
You must provide proof of vaccination through the college’s Mobile Safety App.
Students who have not provided proof of full vaccination or approved exemption by January 2, 2022, will be placed on a HOLD.
This HOLD will prevent access to:
- Winter 2022 timetable
- Ability to make course changes
- eConestoga Winter 2022 course information
The HOLD will be released, with access to timetables and course information restored, for those who provide proof of vaccination.
- Please note that late submission of your vaccine information may result in:
- course changes not being able to be made as courses are full.
- No exception in the registration process will be made.
- delaying your access to course delivery information resulting in missed assignments/quizzes or course information.
- missed material covered during class.
- faculty are not required to cover material previously delivered
- students cannot use this for a basis for an academic appeal at the end of the terms.
- not being permitted to submit or be assessed on projects, tests, quizzes or assignments that were due during the time your record was on Hold.
- course changes not being able to be made as courses are full.
On January 21, 2022 students who have been placed on HOLD who have not provided proof of vaccination will be deregistered from their program.
- Fees paid for Winter 2022 will be eligible for a refund.
- In order to receive a refund, a completed Request for a Refund Form must be submitted. If you are an OSAP recipient, refunds will be directed to the NSLCS.
If you have received your vaccinations but have not yet uploaded your vaccine information, please complete the process as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition for the upcoming term.
If you need more information about submitting your vaccine proof or have other questions related to the college’s vaccination requirements, visit the COVID-19 information Hub on the Conestoga website or contact covid19questions@conestogac.on.ca
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
