Communication to new and returning students regarding vaccination requirements - winter 2022

The following message was distributed beginning September 28 to new and returning students to the winter 2022 term on behalf of the Office of the Registrar.

Conestoga looks forward to welcoming both new and returning students to our campuses for the winter semester beginning in January 2022.

To protect the health and well-being of our college community, all students and employees will be required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to January 1, 2022, in order to access Conestoga campuses, facilities or properties.

To complete the proof of vaccination process, you will need a copy of your vaccination receipts. If you received your vaccinations in Ontario, you can obtain copies of your receipts from the province’s Ministry of Health.

Upload your proof of vaccination using Conestoga’s Mobile Safety App. Click on the app’s “Proof of Vaccination” prompt to be guided through the upload process. If you have questions or require assistance with uploading, contact

If you have already provided your proof of vaccination to the college, you do not need to resubmit.

All others should upload proof of vaccination as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition for the upcoming term. If you are unable to be vaccinated or require more information, visit the COVID-19 information Hub on the Conestoga website or contact

Exemptions to the vaccine policy will be limited to those rare cases where individuals cannot be vaccinated for verified medical reasons or on other grounds protected under Ontario’s Human Rights Code. Exemptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may require significant time to process.

Thank you for helping keep our community safe. We look forward to welcoming you to campus in January.
