Flags at all Conestoga campuses will be flown at half-mast today in recognition of the National Day of Observance to commemorate the lives lost and the significant impacts felt because of COVID-19.
More than 2.5 million people have died globally due to the virus, including 22,000 Canadians.
Health-care and other essential workers continue to put themselves at risk to provide services and care.
The Government of Canada announced the designation to honour the memory of those lost and the people they left behind, as well as recognize the impact COVID-19 has had on daily lives and pay tribute to those who continue to work hard and make sacrifices in the fight against the virus.
