On March 10, the Conestoga community recognized employee milestone anniversaries reached in 2019 and 2020 at two virtual Guild Receptions. Together, the more than 200 honourees have contributed over 2,600 years of service to the college.
"Tonight is about recognizing and thanking employees for your service and dedication to Conestoga," said President John Tibbits during the event. "Thank you for your many contributions to the college's growth and development."
Among the honourees recognized for milestones ranging from 10 to 40 years of service were Jarka Kolar, Beverly Laking, Susan Lee, Violeta Nemec and Susan Paisley, each celebrating 30 years at Conestoga. Nancy Nelson and Shelley Schenk were recognized for 35 years, and Janeen Hoover celebrated 40 years of service.
The dedication and commitment of Conestoga employees make a tremendous difference in students' lives and futures and contribute directly to the well-being and prosperity of the communities the college serves.
Students from across the region and around the world choose Conestoga to help in their efforts to launch successful careers as they build brighter futures for themselves, their families and society. More than 150,000 Conestoga graduates work in virtually every sector, making communities better places to live and work, and the college plays a key role in economic development and prosperity by helping businesses grow and remain competitive through applied research, workforce training and development.
Together, Conestoga employees champion innovation in education and research, serve community needs and priorities, and empower individuals from all backgrounds to achieve their potential.
A celebration in recognition of recent retirees will be held in late March.
