Current and former employees at Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning have demonstrated their commitment to the college’s goals and directions by contributing more than $1 million to support the expansion of college facilities and the enhancement of student awards and services.
“This record donation provided by Conestoga’s employees and retirees is a clear reflection of the commitment across our college community to providing students with an outstanding learning experience that will lead to career and life success,” said President John Tibbits.
Tibbits attributed the success of the campaign in large part to the efforts of the three campaign chairs whose dedication and hard work were instrumental in the achievement of the $1 million milestone: Stephanie Bartlett, Kathryn Brillinger and Monica Himmelman.
“Today we can all share in the knowledge that we have been the cause of something great,” said Bartlett, chair of the support staff campaign.
“Conestoga’s education and training programs have made a tremendous impact in my own life as well as on the lives of people across our community,” explained employee and donor Lil Premsukh, who is also a graduate of the college’s Career Development Practitioner program. “Supporting the Family Campaign is my way of saying thank you to Conestoga and supporting others to reach their goals.”
Conestoga is Ontario’s fastest growing college and a leader in polytechnic education, providing a full range of career-focused education, training and applied research programs to prepare students for success in the new knowledge economy and promote economic prosperity throughout our region and across Ontario.
