The Conestoga College flag will be flown at half-mast beginning today in memory of Moira Austin, RN, a part-time faculty member in the School of Health & Life Sciences and Community Services who passed away on April 1.
Recently honoured by Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare and the International Nurses Association for her exceptional successes in the nursing community, Moira shared her knowledge and expertise with students in Conestoga’s Nursing programs, and was described by Chair of Nursing Lynn Voelzing as “a friend to all and an extraordinary advocate for student success.”
A celebration of Moira's life will take place on Friday, April 4 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Anselma House, Kitchener.
