Three Cups of Tea Author Wows Crowds in Toronto and Vancouver
Excitement is building as Conestoga Students Incorporated prepares to welcome Greg Mortenson to Kitchener-Waterloo on Thursday, January 28th at the Aud. The last of his exclusive Canadian stops, Mortenson has left Toronto and Vancouver audiences begging for more. In Vancouver alone, he signed over 4,000 copies of his book as people waited hours in line to meet him.
His message is compelling and sincere. He is authentic and is changing the world around him. Mortenson’s presentation at the Aud is a special appearance and one not to be missed. From kids to seniors, students to the corporate sector, Mortenson’s visits to Toronto and Vancouver have left people raving about his impact.
Conestoga Students Incorporated, Conestoga College’s student association, is pleased to present Greg Mortenson, author of the acclaimed book "Three Cups of Tea" and his most recent December 2009 release "Stones Into Schools". The event, "Changing Your Community, One Mountain At A Time" will feature Mortenson presenting his incredible journey from struggling on a mountain to changing the world. His message of hope and encouragement will benefit the community and challenge everyone to stand on the frontline for people.
Sheena Sonser, student president of Conestoga Students Inc. hopes people will seize the opportunity to hear Mortenson speak. “We are looking forward to hosting the author and sharing something extraordinary with our community” shared Sonser. “This is one of those times we want to encourage ourselves and this community to look beyond and realize we can change the world!” Funds raised will be directed to student scholarships at Conestoga College and also Mr. Mortenson's charity, the Central Asia Institute for the building of schools.
