In terms of enrolment, program numbers and program variety, Conestoga College has experienced tremendous growth in the past five years. To showcase for the community the value of its educational resources and the opportunity these offer, Conestoga will hold an open house on Saturday, November 29, from 1-3 p.m.
The event, presented in a trade show format, will be at the Conestoga Recreation Centre, located at the Doon campus in Kitchener.
On hand will be program faculty and senior academic officials to answer questions and provide information about program content, admission requirements and processes, and career options open to graduates.
Nearly 100 full-time programs of study will be represented from Conestoga's main academic divisions: business; engineering and information technology; health and life sciences and community services; media and design; trades and apprenticeship; liberal studies; and career and academic access.
Also highlighted will be key student service areas such as financial aid, job placement, academic counseling, student activities and government, residence facilities and alumni programs.
Visitors can also arrange to take a campus tour or a tour of one of the major academic areas.
In the past five years, Conestogas full-time enrolment has grown by more than 20 per cent and the number of academic programs has doubled. Recently, Conestoga received a $21 million investment from the provincial government to begin work on a large new campus in Cambridge, directly across Highway 401 from the existing Doon campus.
