From the first guest to the latest arrival, the Blue Room was rocking with happy screeches of, renewed friendships, and shared memories of years gone by as well as a filling in of the dash between graduation year and the present. The room was packed with over 220 guests and displays of old and new texts, many grad pictures, prizes and of course, lots of food. As a person who was at the college for most of the 40 years we celebrated on October 25th, I found the entire day was an exciting buzz ! Oh the places you have gone are a tribute to you and the foundation you received at Conestoga. We, the Conestoga family, are proud to have been a part of your journey. We were impressed by the plans the college has for the training and support in our field as shared by the administration responsible for the entire department of Child Development and Education. As graduates, thank you for clearly showing your continued love and support of Early Childhood Education. We at Conestoga need that support to continue our growth.
A special thanks to all the great volunteers from ECE and Alumnae Services who helped to make this dream reunion a reality. Finally, as I looked through the beautiful guest book crafted by Kristine Parsons, Denise Sharpe and Lisa Rintoul the only regret I had by the end of the day was that I had but a brief time to catch up with many and missed some of you completely!
