Conestoga's student newspaper Spoke is in the running for a national newspaper award, receiving a nomination in the best campus news story category. The contest, entitled the 2006 Better Newspaper Competition, is held by the Canadian Community Newspapers Association. This year the 87th national convention and awards banquet is being held in Quebec City May 24 to 27. The Spoke story was written by third-year journalism student Janet Morris, and was about the Body Worlds 2 exhibit at Ontario Science Centre."
