Spaces still available for WIST carpentry program

There are still a few spaces available in this special program designed for women looking for careers in the construction trades.

The Women in Skilled Trades General Carpentry program is designed for unemployed or underemployed women interested in learning hands-on construction skills leading to employment. There is no charge for participation for qualified applicants.

The 38-week certificate program, delivered through Conestoga's Waterloo campus, prepares students to secure positions as apprentices, and to work safely and successfully in the industry. Training in job search, communications skills, computer literacy and applications is also included.

Detailed program information is available on the program website.
