The Conestoga Room is now open in the new Waterloo Campus at 108 University Avenue, East .
Operated by Hospitality and Culinary students, the full service dining room offers exquisite 4-course lunch and dinners on scheduled days. Imagine eating a Butternut Squash & Maple Soup or a Vanilla and Basil scented Lobster Bisque; then Pecan Crusted Goat Cheese served on warm Baby Greens, Grilled Ahi Tuna or Veal Osso Buccoas as a main course, and then finishing with Caramelized Autumn Fruit Creamed Rice Pudding or an Apple Custard Flan with Cinnamon Ice Cream.
This is just a small sample of menu items served in the Conestoga Room by aspiring Chef's and Restaurant Manager's studying in the hospitality programs at Conestoga College . Gary Hallam, the program chair says, "students gain real life experience applying the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom by producing and serving high quality food in a controlled learning lab environment”. In addition, Jean-Paul Bernhard, dining room manager says, "students experience personal growth and build self confidence in the course”.
Students prepare each menu item from scratch, and greet and serve customers in the 55 seat Conestoga Room. Chef Philippe Saraiva says, "the new Production kitchen and individual skills culinary labs are at international competition standards, and they provide a great learning environment”.
Hallam also says, "the students develop team work, communication and service management skills essential to succeeding in today's industry”.

The Conestoga Room is located just inside the main entrance off of University Avenue, but parking is situated off of Marsland Avenue on the east side of the building.
