Conestoga will participate in Take Our Kids to Work Day, a landmark Canadian program dedicated to inspiring the next generation of leaders.
All Conestoga employees are invited to bring their Grade 9 children to work for Take Our Kids to Work Day, where it is safe and appropriate. This event offers students the opportunity to learn about the employee's role, understand the impact of the work, meet colleagues, explore the college and discover potential career paths for their future.
Agenda and activities
Children may choose to attend one of the scheduled campus activities. Students may also have the opportunity to job shadow their parent/guardian before or after the campus activity.
Scheduled campus activities will take place across Conestoga campuses and will include:
- A Career exploration presentation
- Various hands-on activities
- A campus tour
Some of the exciting hands-on activities available include:
- Creating your own animated character
- Discovering microorganisms through microscope slides and a swab of your phone
- Experiencing what it's like to be a welder through a VR simulation
- Exploring the art and creativity of éclair decorating and enjoying a culinary treat
- Visiting the Esports Hub and discovering the world of competitive gaming
Each session is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, and participants are expected to attend for the full duration of the activity.
Students attending a scheduled campus activity must be dropped off and picked up at the designated campus at the scheduled times. Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation.
Parents/guardians are responsible for their child outside of the scheduled activity time.

Before registering, speak with your manager to confirm participation and ensure appropriate coverage within your area.
All participating children must be registered in advance, whether or not they are attending a scheduled campus activity. A completed Participant Form and Assumption of Risks, Waiver of Claims, Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement is required for every participant.
Due to limited capacity, registration for each activity is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
