On Sunday, March 8, students from the Schools of Engineering & Technology, Applied Computer Science & IT and Trades are invited to join their peers for our first annual International Women's Day Conference.
This full-day, on-campus event is designed to provide our campus community with a non-academic leadership and personal growth opportunity to celebrate the many women students and leaders at our various campuses.
The conference theme is aligned with the International Women’s Day theme #GivetoGain, which highlights the importance of reciprocity, mentorship and collective progress.
The conference will include a keynote address, breakout sessions and a catered lunch. Together, these components will provide students with mentorship, skill development and meaningful dialogue focused on empowering our peers while building confidence, leadership and self-advocacy skills.
The intended outcome is for participants to leave feeling inspired, connected and better equipped to contribute to inclusive and supportive professional environments in their professional lives.
