In 2024, Scotiabank launched a Truth and Reconciliation action plan.
This enterprise-wide priority articulates the path toward reconciliation with an initial 37 commitments across more than 12 business areas and spanning 6 strategic pillars of Leadership, Education, Community, Employee, Client & Third-Party and Social & Sustainable Impact.
It has been ten years since the Truth & Reconciliation of Canada released its final report and 94 Calls to Action. In this presentation, Myan Marcen-Gaudaur, Director, Indigenous Relations & Reconciliation at Scotiabank, will discuss the shared accountability all Canadians have toward reconciliation, the business and social imperatives of a reconciliation strategy for Scotiabank and the essential steps required to bring a strategy to life.
