Conestoga's School of Applied Computer Science & Information Technology, in partnership with the Ontario Network of Women in Engineering (ONWiE), will host Go Code Girl to inspire and empower girls and non-binary youth in grades 7-10 to explore careers in computer science and IT through hands-on workshops and interactive activities.
At Go Code Girl, participants will:
- Get hands-on experience in coding and problem-solving during an interactive workshop
- Choose between two exciting tracks
- Esports (game design and strategy)
- Virtual Reality (VR) (immersive tech exploration)
Attendees can also take part in a panel discussion featuring faculty, students, alumni and industry professionals, who will share insights on real-world tech careers and opportunities.
