Hosted by Conestoga and the City of Kitchener and sponsored by the Grand Valley Construction Association, Teens Try Trades is a free trades exploration experience for teens who identify as girls, two-spirit, transgender and non-binary from ages 13 to 18 and their parents/guardians.
Teen participants will transform ordinary iron pipes and wood into stylish and functional coat hooks, working with plumbers and carpenters to cut, thread and assemble.
Parents/guardians will participate in a campus tour and engage with Conestoga pathways representatives to explore opportunities for successful careers in the trades.
