Conestoga's Advanced Police Studies program will commemorate the life of Danny Holmes by raising funds in support of the Shine Foundation of Canada.
Over 20 years ago, Conestoga fitness instructor Colleen Holmes-Cummings lost her four-year-old son Danny to cancer. Since that time, Conestoga students have hosted a fundraiser to support the Shine Foundation, which helps fulfill the dreams of children with severe illnesses.
Donations can be made on the Athletics Fundraisers page.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Those interested in watching the dodgeball tournament are asked to show a $30 donation receipt or donate at the door.
Various police officer recruiters and first responder recruiters will be in attendance to speak with potential applicants.
