Knowing immigration-related rights and responsibilities as an international student

June 4, 2024 | 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. | Virtual event

This information session tackles various immigration-related concepts relevant to the rights and responsibilities of international students.

Using a sample case study on misrepresentation and inadmissibility to Canada, we will examine a variety of “what to do and what not to do” scenarios such as the following:

  • Conditions students must comply with on their study permit
  • What may happen if students engage in unauthorized study or work
  • How students can maintain their status to be eligible to apply for a study permit extension or Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
  • What is misrepresentation and what does inadmissible to Canada mean and more.
