Conestoga’s ETT4W (Engineering, Technology and Trades for Women) is hosting, in partnership with the Canerector Foundation, Schulich Builders and Magna, a brunch for young girls.
Young girls, trans or non-binary youth entering Grades 6-10 in 2024 considering a career within the skilled trades, along with a parent, guardian or adult influencer, are invited to attend this free event.
The morning will include a welcome, hot buffet brunch and a keynote from Megan Dobbin, a Conestoga skilled trades graduate and welding specialist with Magna International. After the keynote, the young women and their influencer will work with a trades mentor to create and complete a hands-on trades activity to take home with them.
Tours of the Skilled Trades Campus will also be available.
