Go CODE Girl is an opportunity for girls in Grades 7 and 8 and their parents/caregivers to learn more about the world of coding.
Join Conestoga's School of Applied Computer Science and IT virtually for guest speakers as well as fun, hands-on activities facilitated by current students. This annual event is in collaboration with the Ontario Network of Women in Engineering (ONWIE).
The morning will include two hands-on activities that introduce the principles of coding and the power of applied computer science. There will also be opportunities for participants to hear from role models, learn about their work, projects and accomplishments, and gain insight into education and career possibilities.
Participants will require a laptop or computer with internet access. There is no cost to participate in this program.
