Retire-At-Home is hiring supportive care providers. Successful candidates will receive 8 weeks free training by Conestoga through the Supportive Care program.
Training will include
- 8 weeks of in-class training plus 80 hours of job shadowing with a Retire-At-Home employee,
- assisting with personal client care (dressing, bathing, hygiene, housekeeping and companionship),
- food safety and meal preparation,
- mental health first aid,
- non-violent crisis intervention, and
- Red Cross standard first aid and CPR/AED.
Eligible candidates must
- be available for full-time training hours from Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
- be unemployed,
- have a high school diploma or be older than 21, and
- have a clean police vulnerable sector check.
