This event welcomes all community members interested in learning more about Indigenous land-based sustainability practices at Conestoga College and beyond.
Learn from local Elders and community leaders, and how to get involved.
A traditional foods meal will be served. Please bring a feast bundle (cup, plate, bowl and utensils).

4:30 p.m. Welcome and opening statement
5:00 p.m. Keynote speaker, Jan Longboat
5:35 p.m. Concurrent land-based learning workshops, including
-
- honouring the land and saving and sharing seeds,
- designing a sustainable and edible habitat,
- birch bark canoes and how we once travelled, and
- planting your own tobacco to take home.
7:00 p.m. Dinner (includes traditional food options)
8:00 p.m. Closing remarks
