Third Annual Youth and Elders Conference

Everyone is welcome to attend the Third Annual Youth and Elders Conference, a full day of teaching circles, music and workshops. Delbert Riley, a former Grand Chief of the Assembly of First Nations (formerly known as the National Indian Brotherhood) will also present a keynote.

Enjoy drumming, dancing and singing at this free event, or take part in a cultural teaching circle facilitated by the Elders who visit Conestoga's Aboriginal Services.

As with all cultural gatherings within the Aboriginal community like this one, lunch and dinner will be provided.

Time:

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

7:00 AM - Sunrise Ceremony
8:00 AM - Registration
9:00 AM - Opening Ceremony

Workshops run all day.

Registration is required for this event. Conestoga students can register through the CCR and receive a credit on their end of year record. All others are asked to contact Lois MacDonald with the names, addresses and phone numbers of participants, or register on the day of the event.
