Stocking Up on Skills - Online Training for the Supply Chain Sector

September 25, 2015

Doon Campus

Join us for the 6th Annual Essential Skills Day as we introduce Stocking Up on Skills, a new online training program.

Stocking Up on Skills is a government-funded pilot project that is responding to the changing core workplace skills for workers in the supply chain sector.

Conestoga College, as the lead college on this project, has developed a website to support skills development and career exploration for current and prospective supply chain employees. The website is currently being piloted with employers in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia by Conestoga College and our partners, Bow Valley College and Douglas College.

This drop-in session will feature demonstrations of the Stocking Up on Skills website and success stories from pilot project employers. Activities will be offered to recognize and develop the nine Essential Skills that form the foundation for learning and effective workplace performance, as defined by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
