Overcoming Abuse and Tragedy Event

Cairine, an accomplished therapist and theologian, will share her personal story of abuse and tragedy. Cairine speaks of her experience growing up in an abusive home of power and control and the loss of her friend Valerie, who was murdered by her husband in Elmira 10, years ago.

Cairine overcame adversity to acquire her Master of Arts in Theology and become a nationally accredited counsellor and therapist.

Cairine is joined by TK Pritchard, an educator in the Male Allies program at the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region. TK will co-facilitate and speak to male engagement in combating assault.
This event will take place in the Doon LRC starting at 12p.m., on February 16th.
