Earth Day encourages us to make a difference

The butterfly effect is when a small change at one place can make a large difference anywhere. The same thing applies to our Earth; even one small act (such as recycling) can make a world of difference

When we consider that each person throws away approximately four pounds of garbage every day and over 14 billion pounds of trash is thrown into the ocean every year, it’s no wonder our Earth is beginning to look abused.

Derby girls demolish competition in season opener

NDderby5onlinenew.jpgThe Tri-City Roller Girls certainly know how to hit hard including Conestoga’s own Greta Garbage. On April 10, The Vicious Dishes clobbered The Venus Fly Tramps by a score of 157 to 53 in the season opener of the local roller derby league.
