Region of Waterloo Public Health has confirmed that an individual associated with the Conestoga - Doon Campus Child Care Centre recently tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is now self-isolating.
In accordance with Public Health guidelines, an outbreak has been declared for the Child Care Centre based on this single positive case. Public Health has identified and been in touch with those who may have been in direct contact with the affected individual.
Based on their investigation, Public Health has confirmed that there is no significant risk of further transmission on campus and no additional actions are required at this time.
The Child Care Centre remains open for children and families. The enhanced cleaning and other infection prevention and control measures already in place at the Centre and across Conestoga’s network of campus facilities will continue as we work to protect the safety and well-being of our campus community.
