Many of you are seriously concerned about the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation here in Canada and around the world, and the potential risks that may pose for family, friends and our college community.
I understand and share your concerns: these are highly unusual and challenging circumstances.
Let me emphasize that the safety and well-being of our students, employees and the Conestoga community is my absolute top priority.
As a college, we have been monitoring the situation very closely and following the guidelines provided by local and national Public Health agencies.
We have enacted a number of measures to reduce potential risks, including the provision of personal protection information and resources to community members, the enhancement of sanitation and disinfection protocols at all campuses, and the suspension of events and non-essential travel.
As of Monday, March 16, most face-to-face class delivery will be discontinued as Conestoga begins the transition to remote and hybrid course delivery wherever possible. All campuses will remain open and college operations will continue. Employees are expected to report to work as usual.
Field and clinical placements will continue wherever possible.
More specific information and additional details will be provided shortly. Students will be notified by program chairs and faculty. Please continue to check course websites and email for updates.
