Conestoga is now accepting applications for the tuition-free Pre-Apprenticeship Truck and Coach/Heavy Duty Equipment Technician program. Funded by the government of Ontario, the program will provide participants with experience in a skilled trades career and a head-start on achieving apprenticeship certification.
The program will run full-time for 23 weeks starting this March at Conestoga's Guelph campus. Students will also complete an additional eight-week practical work placement.
Enrolment is limited to 24 spaces and interested candidates are required to attend an information session where program faculty will be available to answer questions and provide a tour of the shop. Information sessions run from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the following dates:
- January 11 - Guelph campus
- January 16 - Waterloo off-campus Career Centre
- January 18 - Guelph campus
- January 31 - Guelph campus
- February 7 - Waterloo off-campus Career Centre
