New tentative deal reached between Region and GRT workers

On Sunday, April 2, the Region of Waterloo announced that a tentative agreement had been reached with Unifor 4304, representing Grand River Transit/MobilityPLUS operators, dispatchers, fleet mechanics and service attendants.

As a result, there will be no disruptions to transit service on Monday, April 3.

The union will hold a ratification vote on Monday, April 3. In the event that the union does not ratify the agreement, a new strike deadline has been set for Wednesday, April 5 at 5:00 a.m.
