Conestoga President John Tibbits won the Canadian national 70-and-over tennis title this past weekend, achieving a 6-3, 6-4 win over University of Toronto psychology professor John Stanton Yeomans in the two-hour final held at Toronto's Granite Club on August 23.
Now ranked among the top ten players in the world in his age group, President Tibbits will play for Canada at the upcoming International Tennis Federation World Championships to be held in Antalya, Turkey in October.
