Former Blackberry employees recharge their careers

“Tech Jobs Connex (a service created for former Blackberry employees) and the Conestoga Career Centre proved an invaluable resource during my recent job transition. At a time when there was so much uncertainty, I found Conestoga’s Career and Work Coach, Kirsten, an extremely useful and knowledgeable person with which to speak. She was able to guide me through clarifying what are the requirements I would want in a job from the standpoint of my career as well as from the standpoint of my commitments outside of work. This proved helpful in me channeling my efforts towards the options most suited to my goals.

These all helped with my search and I was thankful to have started a new role after 7 weeks. Thank you for all of your support.”

“Tech Jobs Connex and the Conestoga Career Centre provided a wealth of support throughout the various stages of the job search. From career counseling to interview prep, they supported me in all aspects of the search. Whether the goal was starting an independent business or changing career paths to a new industry, I really appreciated the variety of programs that were offered as they allowed each client to tailor our search to meet our individual needs. The networking events kept me actively engaged while educating me on the ins and outs of the job market. I would not have had such a quick, or positive, transition back into employment if it wasn’t for the support of Tech Jobs Connex and the Conestoga Career Centre.” career2.jpg
