Conestoga faculty member Robin Ritz-Carson was awarded a Women of the Year award by Stratford's The Optimism Place, Perth County's only women's shelter. Ritz-Carson was recognized for her work breaking down barriers as well as for her support of the annual Walk for Autism, her promotion of continuing education, and the tremendous impact she’s had on her students and the community at large. These awards celebrate women in the categories of arts and culture, agriculture, community service, education, entrepreneurship, health and wellness, sports and recreation, as well as courage.
