Students excel at provincial marketing competition

Students from Conestoga’s Business Administration - Marketing program showed off their skills at the 2012 Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition held at Centennial College on November 15-16. This unique skills competition tests students’ marketing mettle in a series of exercises that emulate real-world business challenges.

OCMC-2.pngIn total, the Conestoga team attained three gold medals, one silver and one bronze. Special congratulations to Kaitlin Raftis and Marijka Van-Geest (Marketing Research) and Lisa Steele (Job Interview) for their gold-medal finishes, and to Quiz Bowl contestants Jessical Bal, Mark Kowalski, Maria Zavyalova and Shaun Barry, who finished second place overall in that event. Conestoga professor Lisa Symons was honoured with the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition Award of Excellence for her outstanding contribution to the organization and success of the annual event.
