Students serve up pancakes

Conestoga’s Culinary and Hospitality Management students cooked up thousands of pancakes for the 31st Annual Oktoberfest Family Breakfast held at Waterloo Public Square on Saturday, October 6 . More than 20,000 pancakes and 15,000 sausages were served by staff from the Rogers Kitchener Radio Group and a few surprise guests, including the Canadian Pickers, Miss Oktoberfest and Vic Degutis, president of Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest.

Breakfast was free, but diners were encouraged to contribute non-perishable food items to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.

Here are some pictures from the event.
