The Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW) Program at the Guelph Campus has been working with Goodwill Industries for the past year. Goodwill recycles donated goods and provides employment services to create opportunity for meaningful work--promoting dignity and independence for people who need it most.
We are extremely proud of our ongoing relationship with Goodwill who has hired four participants from the TIOW program, three of whom have become permanent full-time staff members. The dignity, self- confidence and motivation gained from their work with this employer is a true testimony to Goodwill's values and community spirit. Much of the "goodwill" and respect for TIOW is attributable to Manager, Ryan Cassidy and the two Assistant Managers, Karry Taylor and Penny Millar.
