Important Notice Regarding Orientation Activities

Ontario's colleges are working hard to reach a negotiated settlement in the ongoing support staff negotiations before the strike deadline.

In the event that a labour disruption does occur, scheduled orientation activities for first-year students at Conestoga's Cambridge, Waterloo and Guelph campuses will continue with some modifications:

  • First Year Orientation Sessions and Program Sessions will run as scheduled on September 1 at the Cambridge campus and on September 2 at Waterloo and Guelph campuses. Please arrive for your regularly scheduled Welcome Session and your faculty-led Program Session.
  • Family and Friends Sessions will run at all campuses concurrent with the first-year student sessions.
  • Students, their families and friends are invited to join in a free BBQ lunch on campus following the program sessions.
  • Orientation start-up activities scheduled for the afternoon, including campus tours, table exhibits, workshops, student ID, bus passes, OSAP, bookstore, library PIN and parking, will be rescheduled to a later date.
  • Revised dates and further updates will be provided on the Conestoga website at www.conestogac.on.ca as they become available.
