Start Your Career in Global Business Management

Are you looking for an exciting career in international business? Conestoga’s new one-year graduate certificate program in Global Business Management will prepare you for success in fields such as HR, supply chain management, finance, general management, international trade law, customer relations and social media.

The program’s international focus will give you the skills and knowledge you’ll need to operate in different roles within international cultural, legal and political contexts. You’ll have the opportunity to explore business management theory and apply your new knowledge through practical applications across a variety of organizational categories, providing ideal preparation for launching your international career.

According to Barbara Kelly, Chair of Conestoga’s School of Business and Hospitality: “Global Business Management will prepare degree or /diploma holders from any academic discipline as well as individuals with significant industry experience to work in a wide range of business areas and achieve recognized industry credentials. Students will be exposed to a variety of professional associations that focus on providing the skills and knowledge for conducting business globally.”

Among the professional associations included in the program are:

  • FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) which provides the practical skills needed to succeed in today’s competitive global marketplace
  • ICDL (International Computer Driving License) which provides a world-wide benchmark in ICT skills certification
  • GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources) certification program which provides an in-depth view of the Global Human Resource Professional
  • CAPM (Certified Professional in Project Management) program. Students will have the knowledge and skills to write this exam upon completion of the project management course.

Students in Global Business Management are encouraged to become members in professional associations and complete the industry exams to achieve recognized international credentials.

The program features small-group learning under the supervision of outstanding faculty members who have first-hand experience working internationally or with global organizations. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in numerous simulation exercises to gain practical experience and build your skills. Courses are offered in the late afternoon and evening - no prerequisite courses or previous business experience is required.

Spaces are still available in the February 7th intake of this exciting new program. Please note: domestic students have the option of applying to one course only: Global HR Management or the Global Business Environment.
